A self-proclaimed Teacher Nerd, I'm beginning my 13th year of teaching.  When I first started my career, I actually felt sorry for teachers who had been teaching for 10+ years!  Isn't that weird?  I know!!  All I could think was how boring it must be to be that old (Ha!) and beginning yet another year of the same ol' thing.  Boy was I ever so wrong!!  I love teaching and each year is an exciting start to a do-over in my opinion.

I {loved} third graders for 12 years, but fell in love with First graders this past school year.  The growth I was able to witness in my students was nothing short of amazing. 

I'll be at a new school and in a new classroom this school year, and I coulndn't be more excited. 

Years ago I created my own website and felt on top of the technology thing, but after I became a mommy the time for extra hobbies disappeared.  I've missed being a part of the on-line teacher community for several years and am excited to jump back in.  I have so much to learn about blogging and will continue my blog stalking for ideas and support.  :)
